Job Overview
Responsible for coordinating with Supplier Quality Engineering Technical and Feasibility reviews as well as Claim handling, Supplier Quality Performance, Audits and Surveillance and Scorecards / Performance Agreements. Monitors and drives technical process improvements at suppliers to make sure suppliers meet TE technology requirements. Ownership for The STE supports cross functional activities (in case external suppliers are involved) & support function to assess technical capability of new suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Uses standard procedures (e.g., ISO family of standards), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc.
- Communicate quality concerns to suppliers (initiate Techs complaint), SQ environment (e.g. SQE) and plant
- Requires knowledge of industry and governmental regulations affecting product quality
- Setup containment actions
- Confirm certified stock
- Validates and follows the quality assurance contracts with suppliers, vendors, and/or partners
- Support the setup and the improvement of the quality inspection plans
- Track, review and close supplier 8Ds
- Generate read across and deploy lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence
- Perform laboratory goods in measurement (as the specific plant setup defines it for SQ)
- Update DMR (Dynamic modification rule – SAP) based on part quality history
- Assure that supplier parts meet TE customer requirements
- Manage PPAP approvals related to material received at plant
- Coincide PV testing on product changes from Supply base
- Manage Supplier Change Management to comply with TE, customer, and regulatory requirements
- Support vendor MRB dispositions
