Quality Engineer - New Grad
About The Role
Our Global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) business is looking for a Quality Engineer for production facility located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. Global I&C produces complex, electro-mechanical instrumentation systems used in commercial nuclear industry for customers worldwide. The quality engineer will participate as a member of the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with Westinghouse's Quality Management System, customer contract requirements, industry and regulatory codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with both domestic and international customers and suppliers to resolve programmatic deficiencies
- Develop and implement project surveillance programs to ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Participate on self-assessments or internal audits of Westinghouse Global I&C departments to ensure compliance with applicable QA codes/standards
- Recommend product line and departmental Quality policies, procedures, and instructions following customer requirements, applicable standards, and country specific government regulations
- Represent Westinghouse and provide input during external QA audits conducted by customers, government agencies
- Verify accuracy of operational procedures, test result records and review inspection procedures to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and design engineering specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical or quality discipline
- 0 – 2 Years of experience
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles
- An understanding of commercial nuclear industry or other regulated industry
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($58,000 to $73,000) per year.
