About the role
A well established and growing aerospace and defense manufacturer with decades in the industry is hiring a Incoming Inspection Manager to lead their receiving inspection and supplier quality team.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Incoming Inspection team, including staffing, training, and daily work prioritization
- Ensure incoming materials meet drawings, specs, and contract requirements before reaching production
- Oversee inspection using CMM, laser trackers, and other precision metrology equipment
- Own nonconformance management, including MRB coordination and corrective action follow-up
- Lead supplier quality efforts, including SCAR issuance and root cause analysis
- Prepare for and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Track key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement across the inspection process
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace or defense preferred
- 3+ years of people management or supervisory experience in quality or inspection
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and inspection methodologies
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
- CMM or laser tracker experience, Six Sigma or CQE certification a plus
