Income Maintenance Caseworker III - LTC/CAP/SA

Duties And Responsibilities

• Consider thorough knowledge of income maintenance program assigned.
• Consider considerable knowledge of all agency and community programs and services affecting the client/applicant.
• Consider general knowledge of all income maintenance programs.
• Consider good mathematical reasoning and computational skills.
• Consider ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of regulations, policies and procedures of varying complexity.
• Consider ability to work independently and prioritize work.
• Consider ability to instruct and evaluate the work of lower level employees.
• Consider ability to train employees in new and existing rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Consider ability to understand the needs and problems of clients/applicants.
• Consider ability to perform caseworker function under and within structured time frames.

Minimum Education And Experience

• Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) and NC FAST Certificate are preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bilinguals encouraged to apply.
• DD 214 is required from applicants claiming a military preference.
