In-Classroom Support
- Serve as additional support within classrooms to guide behavior management and inclusive practices.
- Provide real-time modeling of strategies, tips, and tools for teachers to use with students.
- Collaborate with teaching teams to identify triggers, patterns, and opportunities for improved behavior outcomes.
Individual Behavior Planning
- Develop individualized behavior support plans for students identified by teachers or administrators.
- Ensure behavior plans are accessible and easy for all staff to implement consistently.
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
Student Support & Small Groups
- Support students within the classroom environment rather than removing them for extended periods.
- When appropriate, conduct short, small-group pull-out sessions to provide skill-building, sensory breaks, or targeted behavioral support.
- Equip students with additional tools for self-regulation, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth.
Collaboration with Families
- Participate in all parent meetings pertaining to student behavior, support plans, or ongoing concerns.
- Partner with classroom teachers and administration to discuss strategies, progress, and next steps with families.
- Communicate with empathy, professionalism, and solution-focused clarity.
Team Participation & Monthly Meetings
- Attend monthly Inclusion Support break-out sessions during faculty meetings.
- Review the student referral list provided by teachers and determine which team member is best suited to support each child.
- Share insights, best practices, and collaborate on student needs as a cohesive department.
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain clear notes on student progress, strategies implemented, and team recommendations.
- Keep the administrative team informed of ongoing behavioral concerns or escalating needs.
- Ensure all communication is consistent, aligned, and centered on student success.
Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma required
- An associate or bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working with young children in early childhood education, behavioral support, or special education
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach teachers in a supportive, non-judgmental manner
- Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and inclusive classroom practices
- The ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping every child succeed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
