Incident Commander (OSS-SIRT)
About the role
The Incident Commander (OSS-SIRT) ensures the Akrites program is successful through coordinated execution across research, engineering, SRE, OSS-SIRT, external contributors, and stakeholders. This role translates strategy into delivery. This person is involved in most efforts and programs throughout the Akrites project — able to unblock, connect, and serve as the operational glue between all moving parts of the project. Working closely with the CTO as their operational extension, this role requires a deep understanding of different communication styles and the ability to organize concurrent workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Manage AI security roadmap milestones
- Coordinate cross-team deliverables
- Track risk, dependencies, and release timelines
- Interface with board, sponsors, and partners
- Ensure transparency and reporting across the program
Requirements
- 7–12 years in technical program management
- Experience in security PSIRT, CERT, or CSIRT-related initiatives
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills
Qualifications
- Experience in open source governance environments (preferred)
- Prior exposure to research and engineering integration (preferred)

- OSS-SIRT roadmap delivered on time and transparently
- Clear cross-team alignment maintained throughout the program
- Stakeholder confidence in OSS-SIRT program maturity
Pay
$185,000 – $200,000 USD
Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
