Inbound Supervisor | LMG

About the role

The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Support Department, with a primary focus on inventory control at the Indianapolis Distribution Center. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, hiring and training new employees, managing inventory cycles, and ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of distribution staff in support areas such as inventory control, quality assurance, problem resolution, and posting.
• Interview, select, and train warehouse and team lead personnel.
• Plan inventory operations and establish priorities and sequences for accurate inventorying products.
• Cycle count program for inventory control teams, ensuring cycle count goals are met.
• Report on inventory adjustments, accuracy, and major variances.
• Ensure team meets performance expectations based on pillars of Safety, Quality, Teamwork, and Productivity.
• Occasionally lead entire Support department to cover management needs.
• Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort with inventory control applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Identifies key operational goals and opportunities to improve team member coaching and efficiency.
• Inspires team members to success and ensures adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong team player and commitment to company’s mission and vision.
• Proficient in Legends Global Merchandise systems, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ industry experience required.
• College/University degree preferred.
• Personnel management experience required.
• WMS/TWL experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
