Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides associate recognition, recruits and develops qualified associates, tours the store, and collaborates with associates on store operations, technology use, business objectives, merchandising, and company direction.
Responsibilities
- Tours the store and provides feedback
- Leads and develops teams through teaching, training, and active listening
- Models and exhibits great customer service standards by adhering to and practicing the One Best Way (OBW) service model
- Manages and supports customer service efforts such as store of the community and community outreach programs
- Develops and implements corrective action plans and leads process improvement efforts to guarantee a high-quality customer experience
- Examines and evaluates profit and loss (PL) statements, manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and ensures they are indexed to sales
- Maintains and controls inventory and operational processes, develops and implements action plans to control shrink, and ensures the business area’s sales and profit goals are met
- Monitors and ensures the proper functioning of automation equipment, interacts with and monitors automated equipment’s computer-based interfaces, and resolves equipment failures
- Trains Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC) technology operators, provides guidance to Operations Team, and acts as a coach for these operations
- Supports Picking, Replenishment, and Staging operations, provides tool-free maintenance, clears faults, swaps out equipment components, and resolves basic software errors
- Facilitates escalation of incidents that cannot be resolved at the site and acts as the main point of contact for site incidents requiring attention
- Executes drives and makes operational decisions, makes accept/reject decisions on delivery or wasting stock in case of refrigeration breakdown, implements best-in-class working and safety procedures, and fulfills pick-pack orders efficiently and safely
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices

Requirements
- 4 years' of site/area management experience in a fast-paced warehouse/high-volume production or grocery fulfillment operational environment
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
- If applicable, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training for facilities that sell firearms
- If applicable, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility for facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University (preferred)
- Experience in managing 24-hour operations (plus)
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
