Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports multiple animal studies including in-vivo animal handling skills, take down, tissue collection, and dosing.
- Carries out randomize, blind, formulation, dosing of test compounds to study animals using various methodologies (PO, SC, IM, IV, IP).
- Processes, labels, and delivers samples for analysis internally and externally.
- Conducts or assists in conducting in vivo behavioral studies.
- Accurately reports and records test data in electronic or handwritten notebooks in a timely manner.
- Performs testing independently and with limited supervision.
- Reports safety, instrument, and technical issues to appropriate contacts.
- Maintains supplies, lab cleanliness, and analytical instrumentation.
- Prepares stock solutions and keeps shelves and reagents stocked.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current methods and products to be tested.
- Follows guidelines set forth with clients and in Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc. Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Performs basic data analysis as assigned.
- Assists with training.
Skills & Proficiencies
- Demonstrated proficiency in dosing and handling mice and rats.
- Able to collect animal plasma, cerebral spinal fluid, and tissues.
- Written and verbal communication skills, including effective communication in a group setting, with colleagues, and clients.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and organize and prioritize workload to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Individual and team work ethic.
- Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or closely related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with molecular biology techniques.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
