In-Shop Power Generation Technician

We are looking for a talented In-Shop Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Pontoon Beach, IL. Hours: 6:30AM - 5PM Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday (days determined by branch). In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Completing repair activities on generators or componentsPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviceAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting commercial/mobile ONAN and other make/model generators.Proficient work experience in replacing generator internal components and operating a load bank.Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.Fabricating Experience (Preferred)Basic Diesel Engine experience. Compensation And Benefits Base Level II Technician Salary Range: $33.24 - $39.50 Salary rate commensurate with experience.
