In-School Suspension Assistant

About the role

This position is responsible for instructional and behavioral activities for students referred by the school principal or assistant principal for in-school suspension.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
• A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
• Two (2) years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth
• Possession or ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid

Qualifications

Degree equivalency will be considered using the following formula: Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience, Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s degrees must be included.
