Responsibilities
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Provide exceptional and personalized service to guests staying at the resort, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
- Liaise effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered to guests in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash transactions, credit card payments, and room charges, following resort policies and procedures.
- Safely transport orders to guest rooms, navigating the resort layout efficiently and delivering orders courteously and professionally.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Carefully set up trays or carts with ordered items, garnishes, condiments, and utensils, ensuring each delivery is visually appealing and well-organized.
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Be a people person that thrives to create experiences for our guests that go beyond the expected.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing, always in a professional way toward guests and associates.
- High School Diploma, GED, or some College experience or Degree recommended.
- Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a current Food Handlers card.
- Previous similar experience in a professional setting is preferred.
- Availability to work Overnight during weekends and Holidays.
