About the role
The Dunlin, Auberge Collection, is a coastal escape in South Carolina's Sea Islands, set within the exclusive waterfront community of Kiawah River. It embodies the eternal Southern summer home with 72 cottage-style guest rooms and suites designed by Amanda Lindroth.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
- Deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
- Relate with guests about their needs, and ensure a consistently caring and high-quality service.
- Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen. Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
- Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
- Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
- Ensure that the food delivery is tidy and keep an accurate par of food items such as beverages and snacks, as well as non-food items like menu cards, napkins, straws, etc. on cart and in storage areas.
- Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines.
- Clean and maintain in-room private/mini-bars; report damage, or malfunctioning units.
- Check quality and expiration of all items; discard and replace according to established procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
- Must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
- Ability to lift 30lbs.

Pay
$25 - $35 / hour, inclusive of gratuity
