About the role

The In-Room Dining Server position at Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection is a full-time, year-round, non-exempt role offering a competitive compensation package. The targeted hourly wage is $12.14 plus tips, with additional benefits including team member rates, discounts, and reimbursement for ski and wellness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
  • Deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Relate with guests about their needs, and ensure satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, maintaining a consistently caring and high-quality service.
  • Retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
  • Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
  • Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
  • Ensure that the food delivery is tidy and keep an accurate par of food items such as beverages and snacks, as well as non-food items like menu cards, napkins, straws, etc. on cart and in storage areas.
  • Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain in-room private/mini-bars; report damage, or malfunctioning units.
  • Check quality and expiration of all items; discard and replace according to established procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice/hospitality industry.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 30lbs.

Skills

  • Customer service skills.
  • Food service experience.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
