About the role
We are seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to serve as RMS's primary contracts expert and trusted legal advisor. This is a high-impact role where you'll build scalable legal processes, manage complex commercial agreements, and partner directly with senior leadership to support our global growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and client service contracts
- Act as the primary point of contact for all legal matters across the organization
- Provide legal guidance on contract terms, business risks, and regulatory compliance
- Develop, maintain, and improve standard contract templates and internal legal workflows
- Organize and track legal documents, key terms, and contract renewals with precision
- Partner with external counsel (US and international) on specialized legal matters as needed
- Stay current on legal and regulatory developments that could impact the business
- Provide guidance on internal policies, HR matters, and strategic initiatives as required
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Florida
- 4+ years of legal experience, with a strong emphasis on tech-driven commercial contracts
- Proven ability to manage complex legal work with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to assess legal risk and offer clear, business-minded solutions
- Experience working independently and advising cross-functional teams
- Experience working with and managing outside counsel
Preferred
- Background in data privacy (GDPR/CCPA)
- Experience supporting global operations or international contracts
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management or legal operations platforms (or willingness to learn)
