In House Agency Nurse RN, FT, $15,000 sign-on-bonus

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, identification of nursing problems, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Serve as a resource nurse when oriented and so directed.
• Support the organization’s mission, vision and values.
• Apply knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity, along with their spiritual and emotional needs into the provision of patient care.
• Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

• Maintain good physical and emotional well-being.
• Be capable of performing considerable physical work, including assisting with lifting and moving patients, pushing carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment; and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to bend over to perform certain duties, such as checking chest tube drainage, checking urinary output, etc.
• Be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, and patient rooms in response to hospital emergencies.
• Have visual and auditory skills necessary for interpretation of environmental input.
• Have significant amounts of writing and computer entry required.
• Make trips to various departments.
• May have heavy exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.
• May require the wearing of gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles due to exposure to infectious wastes and body fluids.
