In-Home Services Worker (IHSW, DSP)
Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a part-time Independent Living Skills Worker (IHSW) for our Westbrook Apartments program in Brookston, MN. As an IHSW, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives in a supported living setting on a beautiful, wooded 160-acre working farm with cows, horses, a donkey, and vegetable gardens. The Westbrook program offers a diverse outdoor recreation program including hiking, biking, fishing, carpentry and crafts, agate hunting, animal tracking, and other outdoor activities.
Schedule
- Wednesday: 7:30 am to 11:00 am
- Thursday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Friday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
- 18-24 hours per week
Pay
$20.25-$21.25 per hour

Responsibilities
As an Independent Living Skills Worker, you will serve adults living in private home settings. You will help individuals achieve their maximum level of independence by providing skill training and supports needed to perform everyday tasks. You will work collaboratively with the person and their support team to implement support plans that will help them achieve independence in a variety of skill areas including:
- Physical and personal needs
- Communication
- Household management
- Community living/mobility
- Reduction/elimination of maladaptive behavior
- Sensory/motor development
- Socialization
- Vocational and educational
- Health and wellness
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a working vehicle
- Two-year degree in a behavioral science or related field preferred OR
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Must pass a post-offer background check and Motor Vehicle Report check
