About the role

As an In-Home Installation and Health Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting of basic, complex, and advanced consumer electronics products such as home theater, computing, smart home, health technology, and networking. This role also requires technical expertise in health device installation and support, including all appropriate HIPAA and health-related requirements. You’ll provide solutions tailored to customers’ lifestyles and technology needs through in-home interactions and collaborate with other agents, service partners, retail employees, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling lifestyle recommendations regarding products, services, and content.
Perform delivery, installation, integration, networking, and troubleshooting of consumer electronics devices.
Maintain phone and in-person contact with customers to diagnose issues and make recommendations.
Support in-store agents and car electronic installation and repair agents.
Lead two-person jobs and work independently as needed.
Manage inventory, vehicle maintenance, paperwork, and payment processing.
Provide feedback, training, and adhere to safety guidelines.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Current, valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire.
Ability to acquire health-related certifications (e.g., HIPAA) within 90 days of hire.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation, up to 150 pounds as part of a team, and between 150-250 pounds with support tools such as harnesses or lifts.
2 years of experience in consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
1 year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

1 year of experience in installation, integration, and troubleshooting of advanced or complex consumer electronics products (preferred).
