In Home Caregiver and Homemaker

Visiting Angels of Claremont is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the Upper Connecticut River Valley area (Lebanon NH, Claremont NH, Hanover NH, Battleboro VT, and surrounding communities). Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for client transport
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
• Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day

Pay

$18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.
