About the role
As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you make a lasting impact that betters the lives of our clients AND their families. Senior Helpers caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home. If you are a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys caring for and helping others, takes pride in making a difference in others’ lives, and is interested in professional growth within a company, our caregiver position is for you.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and help your clients participate in activities they enjoy
- Help your clients with daily tasks such as preparing meals, driving to appointments, and housekeeping
- Assist your clients with walking, dressing, bathing, and other personal care needs
- Record activities that were completed/not completed with your clients
- Provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Caring and Compassionate—you enjoy helping others
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients
- Excellent English communication skills
- Required: 1+ year of professional caregiving experience or experience caring for a loved one
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance
