About the role
As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you make a lasting impact that betters the lives of our clients and their families. Senior Helpers caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home. This role is ideal for a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys helping others, takes pride in making a difference, and is interested in professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and help clients participate in activities they enjoy
- Assist with daily tasks such as preparing meals, driving to appointments, and housekeeping
- Help clients with walking, dressing, bathing, and other personal care needs
- Record activities that were completed or not completed with clients
- Provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Caring and compassionate—you enjoy helping others
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist clients
- Excellent English communication skills
- Required: 1+ year of professional caregiving experience or experience caring for a loved one
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance
