About the role

Join our team as a Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children aged 2-16 and their families. This in-clinic position offers a part-time schedule perfect for students, with guaranteed hours and opportunities for growth.

Pay

$23-25 per hour, with an increase upon obtaining your RBT credential. Compensation is also provided for drive time and mileage between clients.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, with the opportunity to transition to full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct direct ABA therapy services for patients aged 2-16
  • Collaborate with case supervisors, assigned BCBA, and Lead BCBA to ensure best practices
  • Implement behavior support plans as directed by your Case Supervisor and BCBA
  • Assist patients with diapering and toileting (training provided)
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient performance through data collection and clinical notes
  • Provide services in various settings and locations as needed
  • Complete additional support tasks, make-up, and substitute sessions as available
  • Support parent education during sessions as outlined by your Case Supervisor and BCBA
  • Pass fidelity checks to ensure clinical quality
  • Engage in clear communication with your Case Supervisor and BCBA regarding your caseload
  • Be open to feedback from supervisors to support your professional growth

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis treatment to children on the Autism spectrum is preferred
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices or a strong drive to learn and explore new practices
  • Willingness to complete required trainings/certifications (CPR/FA, Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), RBT)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse patient population
  • Strong teamwork and customer service skills
  • Basic proficiency with technology (e.g., email, Microsoft Office)
  • Reliable transportation, valid California driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Willingness to travel between locations in the San Bernardino region
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, Education, or a related field (or a High School Diploma with relevant ABA experience)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, and fingering
  • Ability to talk and hear conversations clearly
  • Near and far visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
  • Ability to run briefly to maintain client safety
