Implementation & Operations Architect – Financial Platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support integration of platform solutions with core banking systems and digital channels
• Aid with AWS-based deployments, including EKS, RDS, EC2, and environment configuration
• Ensure systems meet high standards for availability, performance, security, and resiliency
• Enable and support API-driven integrations between platforms and client systems
• Guide engineering teams on API best practices and event-driven architecture patterns
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless system interoperability
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point during implementation and early production
• Support high-throughput, event-driven systems in a Java-based ecosystem
• Drive operational readiness and system reliability in production
• Provide on-call support post-deployment to maintain system health and uptime
• Proactively monitor environments to prevent issues and mitigate risks
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority incidents (P1s) within defined SLAs
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience implementing or supporting core banking, payments, or financial platforms
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and high-volume transaction systems
• Hands-on experience with Java-based applications
• Proven expertise with AWS services (EKS, RDS, EC2)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech or regulated financial services environments
• Demonstrated success in technical leadership within enterprise-scale systems
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud-native architectures

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Kansas City, MO
