Implementation Lead, Physician Enterprise

Translucent is building an agentic AI platform exclusively for healthcare finance, helping organizations managing over $5 billion in combined revenue transform their operations from manual spreadsheets and disconnected systems to AI-driven decision-making.

About The Role

We're hiring a founding Technical Implementation Lead to own the technical delivery of Physician Enterprise—a system of record for medical group performance, service-line economics, and physician compensation. This role is a new discipline at Translucent, where you’ll hold the full picture of the product across every account, ensuring expertise isn’t fragmented. You’ll partner with an Account Owner (who manages the client relationship) while owning implementation: requirements, scope, delivery, and quality. You’ll also serve as a design partner to Product and Engineering, providing field-tested insights to shape new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical implementation of Physician Enterprise across all enterprise accounts, including scoping, requirements, delivery plans, and quality.
• Lead requirements gathering with client stakeholders, translating complex healthcare finance problems (provider productivity, labor costs, service-line performance, physician compensation) into structured technical scope.
• Act as the final decision-maker and quality check for all work produced by your product’s pods, ensuring accountability for what ships.
• Manage day-to-day pod activity: prioritizing work, unblocking Analytics and Insights Engineers, and driving delivery across accounts.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to shape net-new product development, bringing field-tested requirements and technical realities into the roadmap.
• Build and maintain delivery plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and sign-offs, using structured tracking.
• Own the transition from active build to steady-state technical ownership post-launch, coordinating with the Account Owner.
• Develop implementation playbooks and standards to streamline future deployments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of combined experience in hands-on technical work (e.g., data/analytics engineering, solutions/implementation engineering) and direct ownership of client-facing technical delivery.
• Deep fluency in physician enterprise operations or finance—provider productivity, labor cost management, service-line performance, site-of-care optimization, or physician compensation—enabling you to translate client problems into buildable technical scope.
• Genuine technical fluency: ability to read data models, evaluate integrations/configurations, and make final calls on technical quality and risk without escalation.
• Comfort leading through expertise and judgment, operating as a pod lead with decision-making authority and no direct reports, while partnering effectively with non-technical counterparts.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience as a technical lead for a single product line across multiple enterprise customers.
• Experience directing or mentoring engineers.
• Comfort presenting technical tradeoffs and risks to senior client stakeholders (e.g., CFO/FP&A).
• Familiarity with hospital or health system IT landscapes (e.g., EHR/Epic-adjacent workflows).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or equivalent experience owning technical implementations and client-facing delivery. We prioritize hands-on ownership and outcomes over formal credentials.

Location

Union Square, New York City. In-office 4 days per week. Occasional travel may be required for onsite customer sessions.

Pay

$200K – $240K
