Implementation Engineer

About the role

Adyen is a financial technology platform that provides payments, data, and financial products to customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. We are seeking an Implementation Engineer to manage new implementations, enhancements for our existing customers, and own pre-sales calls for our rapidly growing merchant portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage new implementations, enhancements for existing customers, and own pre-sales calls for our growing merchant portfolio.
• Work with Adyen's largest merchants globally to solve, consult, troubleshoot, implement, and launch scalable technical integrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver seamless merchant experiences and drive continuous improvements.
• Leverage project management and technical consulting skills to oversee high-quality project delivery, ensuring the technical integrity of merchant integrations.
• Provide consultation on optimizing payment solutions, including checkout experiences, authentication, omni-channel payments, and platform onboarding.
• Play a vital role in guaranteeing a smooth implementation process and maintaining open lines of communication with our merchants and internal teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience integrating and/or providing technical consultation when integrating with Web APIs.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.), and improve technical acumen.
• Experience working with distributed systems, database design, and systems architecture.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with high-level decision-makers.
• Empathetic to customer and end-user needs, able to translate business requirements and workflows into technical solutions that deliver value.
• Able to identify and clearly communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and make decisions on how to move forward by pulling in the right people.

Adyen offers competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. The annual base salary range for this role is $144,000-$220,000.
