Implementation Engineer

About the role

Maintain responsibility for completing site surveys and creating structured designs for the customer’s network in support of voice, data, security, and audio and visual systems. Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents. Work closely with other IT and facilities team members, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, and other technical resources to analyze business and technical requirements to develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, management and customer reports, and coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines. Implement final network solutions to support on-prem and cloud environments. Manage the production of network devices and network architecture design and develop all supporting documentation required for implementation in this global network.

• Provide implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks
• Conduct network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements
• Develop and execute test and implementation plans based on requirements
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Manage the production of network devices and network architecture design
• Develop all supporting documentation required for implementation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in providing implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks
• 3+ years of experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments
• 2+ years of experience in conducting network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements
• Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, and multitask and prioritize
• Manage the production of network devices and network architecture design

Qualifications

• Secret clearance
• High School Diploma or GED
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification

Skills

• Networking technologies and core Internet protocols, wireless, and distributed networks
• Multiple vendors' networking solutions, including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista, and Juniper
• Cloud technologies and services, including AWS, Azure, and designing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying solutions at the network layer
• Structured cabling and installation standards

Benefits

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings. Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility. Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility. Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
