Implementation Consultant - Proposal Management - Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon Corridor preferred, NYC considered
About the role
AutogenAI is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Implementation Consultant to join our team. This role is preferably based in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon corridor, including Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Arlington, Fairfax, and the surrounding DC market. NYC may be considered for an otherwise exceptional candidate. Travel should be oriented primarily toward customer onboarding, in-person training, DC-area customer meetings, and GovCon industry events, with periodic travel to the Midtown NYC office as needed.
Responsibilities
- Customer Onboarding: Welcome new customers and guide them through their onboarding journey, ensuring a smooth and successful start with AutogenAI.
- Project Management: Create and manage tailored project plans, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are consistently achieved.
- Platform Configuration: Configure the AutogenAI platform to meet customer-specific requirements, ensuring early value and adoption.
- Training Delivery: Deliver comprehensive onboarding training sessions—both foundational and advanced—in virtual or in-person formats.
- Proposal Workflow Alignment: Help customers connect the platform to their existing proposal workflows, including RFP intake, compliance review, annotated outlines, content reuse, review cycles, writing assignments, and deadline-driven submissions.
- Customer Engagement: Provide proactive support and guidance throughout the implementation phase, ensuring customers feel confident and supported.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure continuity, share feedback, and create a seamless customer experience.
- Customer Communication: Maintain consistent communication to keep customers informed on progress, platform updates, and key next steps.
- Customer Handover: Coordinate smooth handoffs to Customer Success post-implementation, supporting strong ongoing relationships.
Requirements
- Proposal-Writing Industry Exposure: Understanding of the proposal-writing space, including industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Proven track record of delivering exceptional onboarding experiences and managing multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering training and presentations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with sales, customer success, and product teams to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (previous startup or consulting experience preferred).
- Technical Acumen: Ability to quickly learn and adapt our platform to customer use cases and workflows.
- Location alignment: Based in or able to regularly support the Northern Virginia/DC Metro GovCon corridor, with a strong preference for Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Arlington, Fairfax, and nearby areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in B2B SaaS, implementation, onboarding, customer success, proposal management, capture support, or another customer-facing role. Federal/GovCon proposal experience should be weighted heavily against generic SaaS onboarding experience.
- Start-Up Experience: Previous experience leading onboarding projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
- AI Software Knowledge: Familiarity with AI software and applications.
- Federal, GovCon, or complex proposal experience: Direct experience working in, supporting, or selling to proposal teams in U.S. Federal, public-sector, GovCon, defense, healthcare, infrastructure, engineering, or similarly complex procurement environments.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 basic salary (depending on experience and location), plus opportunities for variable attainment, depending on specific experience and qualifications relevant to the role.
