Immigration Specialist - AMS Work Visa, San Jose
About the Team
The AMS Work Visa team is dedicated to ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws and regulations across the Americas region. We manage vendor relationships, oversee immigration case workflows, and support employees throughout their visa and work authorization processes. Our team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate documentation and uphold the integrity of all immigration-related activities.
TikTok is seeking to hire an Immigration Specialist to support the US Visa Services team, focused on immigration and mobility domains. In this role, you will work with multiple domestic and global stakeholders to support our continued growth and expansion.
Responsibilities
- Act as a resource for the Visa Services team to execute and improve operational processes, ensuring accurate case tracking, data integrity, and adherence to established immigration workflows and compliance requirements.
- Initiate visas and permanent residence cases with outside legal counsel.
- Create and accurately maintain documents and work visa files.
- Act as a resource for the immigration team, foreign nationals, and outside legal counsel for general information and workflow process.
- Coordinate Labor Condition Application process, including posting and removing LCA notices.
- Answer basic U.S. immigration questions from employees and HR professionals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across operational workflows to ensure SLAs are always met.
- Assist with data audits as required, using logical and analytical skills to audit and interpret data.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 1+ years of HR coordination/specialist experience in a high-volume, high-intensity tech environment.
- Knowledge of U.S. immigration compliance requirements, including experience supporting U.S. employment-based immigration programs and immigration case lifecycle management.
- Highly proficient in reading, writing, and oral English.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- High ethical standards and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Responsive and positive work attitude with the ability to tackle challenging tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume, high-intensity tech environment.
- Strong judgment in handling compliance-sensitive matters.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $76,000 - $128,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package, which may also include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
