Immigration Data Clerk
Position Summary
The Immigration Data Clerk role is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with one of the largest law firms in the United States. Ogletree Deakins is an international law firm with 55 offices throughout North America and Europe. We have one of the largest business immigration practices in the United States; our immigration practice group consists of experienced and dedicated immigration lawyers and paralegals who work with domestic and international corporations and businesses in developing appropriate strategies to facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees. Our Denver, CO office has an opportunity for a Data Clerk to join their fast-paced business immigration practice!
Duties
- Perform a variety of data entry, scanning, copy, and filing duties to track and document receipt/approval notices from USCIS in the Firm's centralized document management systems and business records.
- Ensure that immigration documents are easily accessible to clients, legal, and non-legal staff members.
- Open cases within our system to allow paralegals and other immigration staff to begin work on petitions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of data entry experience required.
- High school diploma; some college preferred.
- Good keyboarding skills; ability to type 45 wpm.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects/tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to keep the work area neat and clear of safety hazards so that files are maintained neatly and are easily retrieved.
- Superior understanding of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills; ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Benefits
- In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $38,454 and $49,764.
- Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
