About the role
The IME Financial Coordinator is responsible for following-up on Independent Medical Exams (IME) and services, including contacting payers for payment of services in a timely manner. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Mails out bills with reports to insurance company or law firm.
- SUBMIT CLAIMS AND DOCUMENTATION TO RESPONSIBLE PARTIES FOR PROCESSING AND PAYMENT.
- Maintains telephone contact with parties as needed to inform and update.
- Maintains documentation of all correspondence and contact with carrier, claimant, physician, attorneys, etc. to ensure a comprehensive and detailed source of information regarding the case.
- COMPLETE ACCOUNT REVIEW AND DISTRIBUTION OF PAYMENTS FROM UNALLOCATED ACCOUNTS.
- AID STAFF MEMBERS WHEN NECESSARY IN A POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER TO ENSURE PATIENTS RECEIVE THE UTMOST IN CARE.
- PERFORM WORK WITH ACCURACY TO MINIMIZE ERROR CORRECTION BY OTHER STAFF MEMBERS.
- DUBLE CHECK DATA ENTRY TO ENSURE THE CORRECT INFORMATION HAS BEEN ENTERED INTO THE NEXTGEN AND ATHENA SYSTEM.
- ORGANIZE AND PRIORITIZE WORK TO MAKE SURE PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER.
- STAY AWARE OF AND COMPLY WITH ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS INCLUDING HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, AND FLSA.
- ADAPT TO CHANGE IN POSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Workers Comp experience helpful.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Benefits
- PAY RANGE: $22 - $24 PER HOUR.
- COMPENSATION AT MOR IS DETERMINED BY MANY FACTORS, WHICH MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, MARKET DATA AND INTERNAL EQUITY.
- BASE PAY IS ONLY A PORTION OF THE TOTAL REWARDS PACKAGE.

$22 - $24 per hour.
Schedule
This position is hybrid and works Monday through Friday.
