Imaging Services Aide (MRI)

On-call position with variable hours and days.

About the role

The Imaging Services Aide transports patients to and from the Imaging department, assists in radiology procedures, and performs related work as required. Responsibilities include assisting Imaging Services Technologists; inputting orders into the computer; answering phones and directing calls; maintaining cleanliness of the department, exam rooms, and equipment; distributing radiation badges to departments and employees; and stocking exam rooms with linen and other medical supplies.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of work experience (experience in a medical setting preferred).
• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
• Flexibility with work schedule to meet department needs.
• Ability to prioritize work and operate in a fast-paced environment with demands from staff, physicians, and patients.
• Knowledge and skills to provide care respecting specific age groups from neonate to geriatric patients.
• Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Strong communication and ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, and all levels of staff.

Pay

• Salary range: $19.27 – $26.50 per hour.
• Shift differentials:
  • $1.16 extra for shifts between 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
  • $2.00 extra for shifts between 11:01 pm – 7:00 am.
  • $0.99 extra for working weekends.
