Imaging Intern - Radiology

Senior Radiology Internship

Under the direction and supervision of a technologist, assists in performing imaging examinations.

• Participates in and contributes to department projects
• Receives introductory work experience related to imaging activities

Requirements

• Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
• Education: Current enrollment in an accredited School of Radiology (Senior status required).

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to operate a computer efficiently and effectively.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to understand detailed instructions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.

Hours

Flexible, will work around school schedule. Preferably working 2-3 days per week.
