IM/FM Hospitalist Opportunity in Washington, NC

About the role

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Beaufort Hospital are seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalist to join their established hospitalist program. The program includes 8 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers and provides full spectrum specialty care support, including oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, OBGYN, orthopedics, behavioral health, pulmonology, and urology.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient medical service with an average patient volume of 12‑18 patients per provider.
• Provide care in the 11‑bed intermediate/ICU unit, including ventilator management (optional) and other procedures.
• Collaborate with specialty services such as oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, OBGYN, orthopedics, behavioral health, pulmonology, and urology.
• Work alongside experienced nursing staff while maintaining BLS and ACLS certification.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Not eligible for J‑1 or H‑1B visa sponsorship.
• Not accepting candidates from search firms.

Qualifications

BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
