IM/FM Hospitalist Opportunity in Roanoke Rapids, NC

About the role

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids, NC are seeking an experienced BE/BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join their established hospitalist program.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care for adult patients with an average census of 12‑15 patients per provider.
• Manage short‑term ventilated patients in the ICU (procedures optional).
• Work with a full spectrum of specialty support including cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, pulmonary critical care, infectious disease, and psychiatry.
• Participate in a 7‑on/7‑off schedule with 12‑hour shifts and rotating nights.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• No J‑1 or H‑1B visa sponsorship (visas not accepted).
• Prior hospitalist experience preferred.

Schedule

• 7‑on/7‑off rotation.
• 12‑hour shifts.
• Some rotating night shifts.
