Illustration Agent

We are looking for an individual to join our team at Astound Us as our Trainee Artist Representative / Artist Agent. If you have experience in Publishing or Sales, we can offer an increased package. This position is ideal for people who are driven by sales and relationship-building, and who have a strong passion for illustration and the creative industry. Recent graduates and those with transferable skills are very welcome. The role An Illustration Agent is the link between illustrators and clients. Your job is to help our artists earn a sustainable living from what they love by marketing and selling their work to win commissions and projects. In a nutshell, it's a creative sales role. You'll spend a large part of every day selling, pitching and negotiating on behalf of our artists. If you love illustration and are excited by the idea of building a career in creative sales, you'll thrive here. Location: New Minneapolis Office! This role is fully remote, which means you can work from home, or anywhere, but we are looking for an individual based in the US. If you are based in the Minneapolis area, that's fantastic: we have recently located there and have serviced offices, so you will be able to meet the team and be trained one-to-one. Training We offer a comprehensive training package covering sales training, artist briefing and development, project management, and creative trend awareness. You will be using all of those skills and more as an Astound Us Agent! We can fast-track your training and salary expectations, and we offer full training in a casual virtual environment. Salary and benefits The Trainee Artist Agent's starting salary is $55K++ with OTE of $100K++, depending on experience and after training. We offer a bonus scheme to prove that we reward success and hard work, alongside great healthcare plans. Expenses are paid for travel, worldwide (London, Italy etc.) or if you need to meet face to face. Expect a long and lucrative career at Astound Us. We have a very high retention rate, the market in kids and decorative publishing is buoyant, and above all, the people in it are great!
