Illinois LBS1 Licensed Virtual Tutor

About the role

We are currently seeking passionate and creative teachers to assist with our growing need for virtual tutoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to middle and high school students as they are out of school for medical, behavioral, or various unique reasons.
• Act as an aide for the student, guiding them through educational material and ensuring their academic success.

Requirements

• IL PEL LBS1 certified
• Can assist with K-12 core subjects, particularly high school math and science

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• IL PEL LBS1 teaching license
• Comfortable working with Middle and High school students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs, especially in upper level Math and Science
• Reliable internet connection, working computer and distraction free work space

Pay

$28/hr and compensated for both instructional sessions and designated daily administrative time.

Schedule

Position requires consistent availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, with a minimum commitment of 12.5 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates who can increase availability during our peak season (November–early June).
