LBS1 ILS Teacher (Grades 3-5)

Primary Purpose

Provide students with appropriate instructional supports and experiences to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth as aligned in the District's Strategic Plan.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with one of the following:
  • LBS1 endorsement (PreK-Age 21)
  • Early Childhood Special Education endorsement or approval
• Previous experience and passion for working with students with complex needs preferred
• Previous experience with Comprehensive Literacy for All Framework preferred
• Previous experience with Integrated Assistive Technology preferred
• Previous experience with Structured Teaching preferred

Working Conditions

• Full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month position starting August 2026 through early June 2027
• Certified Staff work 185 days per school year
• Occasionally perform the physically demanding job functions, strength and/or endurance for lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling are required
