IHD Director
About the Role
This supervisory position is responsible for the management of the In-Home Detention (IHD) Program. Key duties include monitoring and reporting critical client issues, maintaining positive relationships with JJS stakeholders and community partners, training and supervising IHD Youth Workers, administering day-to-day program operations, and ensuring timely submission of all required reports and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Ensures quality client service delivery as required by NET policy and procedure.
- Provides supervision of IHD Youth Workers, including weekly review of client contact and Youth Worker billing paperwork.
- Reviews court and incident reports before submission to the Probation Department and CBDS Intake Unit.
- Provides court coverage and court intake support as necessary.
- Provides on-call crisis intervention support to IHD Youth Workers.
- Monitors staff training records and develops staff training plans to ensure program compliance.
- Provides supervision support to IHD Youth Workers on-site and maintains availability to check Youth Worker attendance to off-site programming and activities.
- Monitors and audits both active and discharged client files to ensure compliance with IHD contract standards.
- Helps build community partnerships to strengthen the IHD calendar of workshops and activities.
- Reports program activities and all pertinent information to the JJS Unit Director.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- B.A. degree (preferred).
- Five years of experience in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Demonstrates genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in NET’s corporate vision, mission, and values statements.
- Adheres to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, internal and JCAHO standards.
- Free of contagious disease.
- Ability to work an eight-hour workday.
- Ability to read written or typed information.
- Ability to ascend and descend flights of stairs and negotiate curbs.
- Ability to speak English clearly and hear voice in conversational tone.
- Ability to communicate in writing.

Work Environment
Work is performed within NET sites, Family Court, and external community settings.
Schedule
Minimum of 40 hours per week. Specific hours to be determined based on program need.
