Responsibilities
- Greets, instructs, and assists customers in obtaining needed services within the office and IHA
- Obtains and communicates necessary patient and office visit information to billing staff
- Facilitates efficient patient flow through the office and appropriate billing for services
- Solves moderate billing issues
- Oversees daily Work Queues
- Works with Reception team to attain resolutions
- Generates and communicates Good Faith Estimates (GFEs) and Financial Waivers to patients
- Serves as Collections Advocate
- Scans urgent scanning into Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Handles moderate billing issues with patients
- Supports other offices, attends meetings and training as assigned
- Tracks return of necessary paperwork
- Works with leadership to make sure overbooks are approved by providers
- Performs OB Benefits Coordination in OBGYN offices
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of The Customer Program and Billing 101
