About the role
This in-house position focuses on the service and repair of Industrial Gears products, primarily involving the repair of reducers. Tasks include inspections, parts cleaning and preparation, parts pulling, assembly, testing, and general clean-up, as well as work on electric instruments and motors.
Requirements
- Mechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Proficiency in using gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work
Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly, assembly, and testing of power transmission products
- Generate lists of parts for replacement and inspection reports
- Use measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications
- Test electric motors and control instrumentation (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature instruments)
- Perform and/or coordinate service on SEW-EURODRIVE IG products on-site and in the field
Pay
$20 - $23 per hour. A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
