About the role

We are looking for an IFS to support cloud-based business systems for service, asset, and operational workflows. This contract position will focus on designing practical, scalable solutions through platform configuration, process automation, and well-governed enhancements. The role works closely with business and technology teams to improve system performance, streamline service operations, and promote sustainable platform use with minimal custom development.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support cloud application modules related to field service, asset management, scheduling, contracts, pricing, entitlements, and service-level commitments.
  • Analyze operational needs and recommend configuration-led solutions that reduce reliance on custom development whenever possible.
  • Build and maintain automated business processes for requests, approvals, notifications, record creation, and lifecycle status changes.
  • Develop approved platform enhancements such as calculated fields, interface behaviors, event-driven actions, and other upgrade-conscious extensions.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in operations, finance, product, and IT to convert business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Document configuration decisions, functional designs, and platform standards to support consistency, governance, and future maintenance.
  • Participate in testing across development, quality assurance, user acceptance, and production environments to validate system changes.
  • Investigate and resolve issues tied to workflows, configurations, and automation while providing ongoing post-release support and improvement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working with cloud ERP or CRM platforms in a functional, configuration, or solution-oriented role.
  • Strong understanding of when to use standard configuration versus custom development to support long-term platform stability.
  • Experience creating and maintaining workflow automation for business processes and operational transactions.
  • Familiarity with service management, asset-focused operations, or technician-driven business environments.
  • Ability to gather business needs and translate them into effective system designs with limited custom code.
  • Experience supporting field service, maintenance, facilities, or equipment service operations is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of mobile workflows, scheduling optimization, or service contract and pricing configuration is preferred.
