About the Role
PHI Health is seeking skilled and dedicated helicopter pilots to join our elite team for Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations under CAMTS guidelines. As a pilot, you will be at the forefront of life-saving missions, delivering critical care with speed, precision, and unwavering commitment in challenging and diverse environments. This role combines the thrill of aviation with the profound satisfaction of making a real impact on patients' lives.
Key details:
- Captain EC135 SPIFR/NVG (Instrument rating required)
- 24-hour operations (day/night rotation)
- 1-year minimum service requirement if aircraft transition is needed
- Relocation package available (2-year minimum service requirement if utilized)
- Participation in community outreach programs
- Some lifting required to assist in loading/unloading patients and equipment
Responsibilities
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM)
- Support Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns
- Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service
- Adhere to PHI Air Medical policies
Requirements
- Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings
- First Class Medical certification
- 2,000 total flight hours
- 1,500 hours in helicopters
- 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in helicopters
- 500 hours in turbine helicopters
- 100 hours in unaided night operations OR 50 hours unaided and 100 hours Night Vision Goggles (NVG)
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual & hood)
- Must meet and maintain the company’s flight personnel weight restriction policy (235 lbs or less)
- Must pass pre-placement physical exam, including functional capacity exam (lift 100 pounds), drug screening, and background screen
- Must reside within a 1-hour or less commute of the base

Schedule
7 days on, 7 days off. The base changes schedules on a specific day of the week, and schedule changes may be required.
