PHI Air Medical operates under CAMTS guidelines for Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations. The position involves Captain duties on EC145 SPIFR/NVG aircraft (Instrument rating required) with 24-hour operations (day/night rotation). If the successful applicant requires aircraft transition, a 1-year minimum service requirement applies. A relocation package is available, with a 2-year minimum service requirement if utilized. Off-duty housing is provided.

Successful applicants will participate in community outreach programs, adhere to PHI Air Medical policies, and perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM). Some lifting will be required to assist in loading and unloading patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM).
• Support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns.
• Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
• Assist in loading and unloading patients and equipment, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Participate in community outreach programs.

Requirements

• Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
• First Class Medical certification.
• 2,000 total flight hours, including:
  • 1,500 hours in helicopters.
  • 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) in helicopters.
  • 500 hours in turbine helicopters.
  • 100 hours in unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided and 100 hours with Night Vision Goggles (NVG).
  • 100 hours of instrument time (actual & hood).
• Must meet and maintain the company’s flight personnel weight restriction policy (235 lbs or less).
• Strong communication and customer service skills, both internal and external.
• Must pass pre-placement physical exam, including a functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment), drug screening, and background screen.
• Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Schedule
