ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and maintain injection molding processes and equipment.
  • Work with and maintain autonomous mobile robot fleet and carts.
  • Execute and/or confirm tooling changeovers to insure proper settings and timeliness.
  • Perform equipment readiness checks before and during shifts.
  • Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and part quality.
  • Conduct first, middle, and last piece quality checks throughout shift.
  • Respond to quality concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting molds, machines, and processes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs.
  • Maintain standardized work and documentation.
  • Support Kaizen and process improvement activities.
  • Maintain AMR fleet PMs and Cart alignment.
  • Ensure 2S1F condition.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and company policies are followed.
  • Communicate issues to supervision and engineering.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of injection-molding processes and materials.
  • Solid understanding of production and basic quality-control methods and visual inspection.
  • Fundamental problem-solving and root-cause-analysis skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Strong attendance and work ethic.
  • Familiarity with the Toyota Production System and Lean manufacturing concepts.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • 5+ years manufacturing or injection molding experience preferred.
  • Lead Operator or Team Leader experience a plus.
  • Mold setting and crane operation preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to start/stop and monitor injection molding equipment required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IMM conditions a plus.
  • Basic math including ratios, percentages, and measurements.

Reasoning Abilities

  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Solve routine production problems.

Physical Demands

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures.
  • Exposure to wet or humid conditions.
  • Dynamic workflows involving human operators and AMRs.

Work Environment

  • Injection-molding manufacturing facility utilizing Industrial Robotics.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures, including periods of significant heat and humidity near production equipment.
  • Encounter wet or humid conditions.
  • High or precarious locations.
  • Operate safely alongside automated systems.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours

  • This is a full-time position with hours mirroring production Monday through Friday with overtime throughout the week and weekend as needed.
  • 1st Shift 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
