About the role
This role is for an IDR Filing Specialist who will review out-of-network claims, prepare and submit No Surprises Act IDR filings, track deadlines, identify issues, and partner with the founding team.
Responsibilities
- Review out-of-network claims, EOBs, remits, payer responses, and supporting documentation to determine IDR readiness
- Prepare and submit No Surprises Act IDR filings through the appropriate portals
- Track deadlines across open negotiation, initiation, batching, offer submission, and payment follow-up
- Identify claim issues, missing documentation, payer inconsistencies, and filing risks before they become problems
- Work with Clearest’s platform to manage dispute workflows, case statuses, and required documentation
- Help improve our IDR filing playbooks as we scale from manual expertise to tech-enabled operations
- Partner closely with the founding team on a fast-moving, high-impact part of the business
Requirements
- Experience with No Surprises Act IDR, out-of-network claims, payer disputes, appeals, or healthcare revenue cycle
- Familiarity with EOBs, remittance advice, CPT codes, payer underpayments, and claim documentation
- Strong attention to detail and comfort managing deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
- Comfort using software tools, portals, spreadsheets, and workflow systems
- Clear written communication and organized documentation habits
- Direct experience filing NSA IDR disputes
- Experience with CMS IDR portals, payer negotiations, batching, or arbitration documentation
- Background in emergency medicine, anesthesia, radiology, surgery, or other OON-heavy specialties
- Experience at an IDR vendor, billing company, RCM firm, provider group, or payer dispute team
- Experience with No Surprises Act IDR
- Familiarity with EOBs, remittance advice, CPT codes, payer underpayments, and claim documentation
