Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management
• Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Uses appropriate inspection techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished
• Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and performs preventative maintenance as needed
• Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures
• Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received
• Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team members, appropriately sharing both good and bad news
• Provide timely quotes of units
• Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition
• Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings
• Assist in cross training Tech I personnel
• Other duties may be assigned

• Computer skills – General Windows skills mandatory
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to provide your own tools
• Must be capable of using standard tools to include, but not limited to: screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function
• Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components
• Familiar with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections
• Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), & component maintenance manuals (CMM)
• Work overtime as required by production requirements
