About the role
We are hiring for a Group Homes Program Manager at RHA Health Services. This is a regular position for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and those facing mental health and substance use challenges.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of administrative, training, and personnel functions.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing, and budget of assigned facilities.
- Conducts unit investigations for compliance and allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
- Captures and maintains a system for assuring integration of basic developmental care and programming services.
- Interviews and hires Direct Support Professionals.
- Aids in the creation of employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Works closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite the implementation of person-centered plans.
- Provides shift coverage in times of acute shortages of direct support staff.
- Provides on-call coverage for people supported and services as needed.
- Provides after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
- Collaborates with the Worker’s Compensation team to ensure prompt reporting and investigation of employee injuries, ensures employees receive needed safety training, and coaches employees not working safely and properly.
- Periodically monitors all shifts and basic developmental care to ensure legislative standards are met.
- Constantly monitors activities to ensure health and sanitary standards are met; corrects any deficiencies noted by internal/external authorities.
- Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team Process, as needed.
- Participates in the Quality Assurance Assessment system which may include Mealtime Assessment, Environmental Assessment, Interaction Assessment, and Third Shift Assessment.
- Interviews, hires, coaches, and terminates employees as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed.
- CPR, first aid, NCI, and/or MedTech certification, a plus.
- At least 18 years of age.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises Group Home Supervisors and Direct Support Professionals.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to regularly stand and walk.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
PAY
$60,000 - $70,000
Schedule
Rotating on-call responsibility.
