Essential Functions
- Staffing In Partnership With The Residence Manager: Ensures that the program is adequately and appropriately staffed and monitored.
- Sets up and monitors staffing levels.
- Trains assigned staff.
- Conducts weekly supervision meetings.
- Makes regular observations and provides feedback on staff implementation of individuals' plans.
- Supports staff in developing their technical skills.
- Program In Partnership With The Residence Manager: Ensures that the program meets the guidelines and regulations governing residential operations.
- Monitors program and individual progress.
- Works closely with families and individuals to meet their needs and expectations.
- Medical Care Oversight (if applicable): Maintains and updates medication records, monitors medical appointments, and works closely with medical professionals.
- Reporting / Documentation: Monitors staff's required charting and documentation, completes reports on person supported progress, and ensures timely reporting of incidents and events.
- Communication: Communicates effectively with individuals, maintains positive relationships with parents and guardians, and supports staff in resolving conflicts.
- Other: Provides a safe work environment, attends in-service training, and participates in continuing education.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities.
- AMAP and First Aid/CPR/AED certification a plus.
- Clean NYS Driver’s License.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word and MS Outlook.
