ID/OD Grind Machinist -1st or 2nd Shift
Position Summary
This machinist will independently and safely set up and operate precision CNC ID-OD grind equipment.
Essential Functions
- Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.
- Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.
- Able to accurately inspect work very close tolerances utilizing various instruments, including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
- Perform daily TPM responsibilities.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
- Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.
- Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.

Experience and Education
- Minimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.
Physical Demands
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

Work Authorization

Compensation
$40000 - $100000 / year
Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
