Grind Machinist II - 2nd Shift

About the role

As a Grind Machinist II within our Military Aircraft Group, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing complex, high-precision components used in flight-critical systems. Your work contributes to some of the world's most advanced programs.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture complex, high-precision components used in flight-critical systems
• Select grinding wheels, properly dress the wheel, and run production parts according to drawing requirements
• Hold tight tolerances, typically .001 +/- .0005, associated with the machining of precision parts (GD&T)
• Inspect all work performed using air gages, diatest, V-blocks, profilometers, angle plates, and electronic gauging equipment
• Participate in the planning of work within the Cell and help solve problems occurring within the Cell

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• At least 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist
• Proficiency using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to, Micrometers, Calipers, and Dial Bore Gauges
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions
• Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances, typically .001 +/- .0005, associated with the machining of precision parts (GD&T)

Pay

• $28.00–$32.00 per hour
